I went to the hospital because I keep getting ovarian cysts and they told me to get birth control. When I went to the gynecologist the nurse and doctor were actually pretty mean to me and they thought I just wanted birth control for sex and didn’t listen to anything I had to say about the cysts. Im 16 and i have had 3 or 4 ruptured ovarian cysts. I don’t want to go on the pill but if it i continue to have them rupture can it prevent me from having children in the future?

I have several ovarian cysts and I am due for a laparascopy soon to investigate them. I seem to get water infections quite alot recently. I’m not sexually active so it cant be anything to do with that. I am just wondering because since I have had the ovarian cysts I need to urinate more frequently. I also have pain in my lower back at the moment.

UTIs (water infections) are often caused more by bacterial infections than a physical problem………but it does occur. Depending on size and location of cysts, yes it might be pressing against bladder maybe even irritating thus need to urinate more often. Glad you are getting the ‘scope procedure done. I have ovarian cyst and its size is also not small, 5.2*5.1cm.
