What kind of treatment has anyone gotten for an extremely painful cyst and was is worth it? Please help me I have one and I want it gone I’m in so much pain I have to go to a pain clinic to manage it.
I appeciate the info given but I guess I’m looking for something that will leave my ovary right where it is. I don’t have any children yet and I know for sure that I want to have them. I know there are other alternatives but I would much rather try the natural way first.

I am recently got married. My age is 25 years. I have been detected dermoid cyst (5.4×4.5 cm) three months back. Is sex can be the cause of my cyst because uptil now I have not reached orgasm. I have a cyst on my right ovary and I was wondering what the treatment options were. My husband and I would like to try and have a baby before he deploys. My cyst is very small, but during ovulation I was in EXTREME pain where I couldn’t move an inch, or even lay down. I believe I’ve had it for 4 months now because I was given the wrong birth control and at that time and had my period 4 times in 1 month.. ever since then I have been in mild to severe pain. An ovarian cyst forms when the egg being released gets "trapped" and the area then expands where it is. These usually resolve themselves. Your Dr. will probably want to follow with a few ultrasounds to make sure it is not growing. The main option for treatment to remove it if needed is surgery. Anyway, you don’t know for a fact that you have ovarian cysts. You do know for a fact that you got a positive pregnancy test. If I were in your shoes, I’d consider myself pregnant.
