I had a Mirena IUD put in 13 months ago. I continue to have large ovarian cyst. I know that this type of IUD has horomones but im begining to wonder if this IUD is right for me.
well i was reading about the mirena and it did say that i could cause ovarian cysts in some cases and heavy bleeding at first and then spotting or light menstruation… i read this in the parenting magazine because i want the mirena iud but i am afraid of the cysts because i used to have them on my ovaries and oooooohhhhh MY gosh THEY ARE SOOO OOOO painfull. I am sorry you have to go through this if it gets to unbearable i would remove the Mirena and just go with birth control pills or even consider getting your tubes tied…
