I have just found out I had ovarian cyst. Thought I was pregnant because of the weight gain, irregular periods, weakness and dizziness, but after 2 pregnancy test coming negative I stopped hoping. I am still late now, but I dont want to think that I am pregnant so I dont end up being disappointed. What do you all think?
Ovarian cysts are actually quite common. Most of these cysts cause very little pain or problems and they are harmless. Most cysts resolve on their own with no major problems. If you have been diagnosed with one, just notify your doctor if you develop sudden or severe pain (in abdomen or pelvis) or if you have pain along with fever, nausea and vomiting or signs of shock (lfeeling lightheaded, having cold clammy skin, or rapid breathing).
There is nothing you can do to make it go away. It will probably go away on its own. Try not to worry about the cyst. I hope you get pregnant soon. I know what it is like to hope for a pregnancy and to be disappointed when it doesn’t happen.

I have ovarian cysts that come during ovulation. I was wondering if beets, aloe vera juice and molasses will help get rid of them, or does anyone know of any natural remedy that will help? I was also wondering if the ovarian cysts that come during ovulation will prevent you from getting pregnant? If you could give me more info on the type of cyst I have, please let me know also. Much help needed here..thanks!
I would suggest you research iodine supplementation.

PROSTAMATE® (dinoprost tromethamine injection) Sterile Solution INDICATIONS: For intramuscular use for estrus synchronization treatment of unobserved (silent) estrus and pyometra (chronic endometritis) in cattle; for abortion of feedlot and other non-lactating cattle; for parturition induction in swine; and for controlling the timing of estrus in estrous cycling mares and clinically anestrous mares that have a corpus luteum. DESCRIPTION: This product contains the naturally occurring prostaglandin F2 alpha (dinoprost) as the tromethamine salt. Each mL contains dinoprost tromethamine equivalent to 5 mg dinoprost: also benzyl alcohol 9.45 mg added as preservative. When necessary pH was adjusted with sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid. Dinoprost tromethamine is a white or slightly off-white crystalline powder that is readily soluble in water at room temperature in concentrations to at least 200 mg/mL. General Biologic Activity: Prostaglandins occur in nearly all mammalian tissues. Prostaglandins especially PGE’s and PGF’s have been shown in certain species to 1) increase at time of parturition in amniotic fluid maternal placenta myometrium and blood 2) stimulate myometrial activity and 3) to induce either abortion or parturition. Prostaglandins especially PGF2α have been shown to 1) increase in the uterus and blood to levels similar to levels achieved by exogenous administration which elicited luteolysis 2) be capable of crossing from the uterine vein to the ovarian artery (sheep) 3) be related to IUD induced luteal regression (sheep) and 4) be capable of regressing the corpus luteum of most mammalian species studied to date. Prostaglandins have been reported to result in release of pituitary tropic hormones. Data suggest prostaglandins especially PGE’s and PGF’s may be involved in the process of ovulation and gamete transport. Also PGF2α have been reported to cause increase in blood pressure bronchoconstriction and smooth muscle stimulation in

hi, my husband and I have been trying to concieve for some time now, we recently looked into our fertility, my husbands tests came back absolutely fine.
I had a sonogram done and it revealed a blood cyst of 3cm and a fluid cyst inside the ovary, of 4.5 cm. I was given duphaston ( progesterone ) to take to reduce/get rid of my cysts. on my next cycle i had another sonogram, the blood cyst had gone but the fluid one remain the same.
I am not ovulating from my left ovary due to the cyst, and apparenlty the hormones dont rise and fall as they should and my uterine lining is only 2 when it should be around 8, all due to the cyst.
the plan is to take duphaston again this cycle then if that doesnt work. on the next cycle go on birth control.
problem is my husband is in the army we’d really like to be pregnant before he is due to go to afganistan again.
Im looking for any advise to get rid of them as quickly as possible. open to any alternative meds, chineze herbs, homeopathic, anything. we’re desperate now.
thank you

i had an ovarian cyst on my right ovary about the size of a dime, which "bled into itself" according to the doctor. When i returned after the pain came back, an examination revealed that there was nothing there. recently my husband and i’ve been trying to concieve, and now i have pain constantly where the cyst was, what is going on?? please help me.
An ovarian cyst the size of a dime is perfectly normal. Every woman will get cysts each month. When the cyst ruptures it will release the egg. Thats when you are ovulating. You will feel pain. I have a cyst the size of a grapefruit. Trust me, Its no fun at all. Surgery in 2 days to take it out.
If you keep getting the pains I would suggest you get a 2nd opinion.
Hope you feel better

I have this friend with genital herpes and ovarian cyst pain attacks. She is usually miserable with one or the other, but sometimes she has them at the same time. Do you think that the herpes can bother the ovarian cyst in some way?
No, Ive never heard of that. If she has ovarian cysts though she needs checked out for diabetes, HTN, and cholesterol – these conditions can go along with ovarian cysts.

I have an ovarian cyst on my right ovary and it’s become extremely painful.
I went to the emergency room ( as I have no health insurance) and the doctors told me
they couldn’t do anything for me.
Is there a way to cure it? I fear that it will rupture, plus I’m having extremely heavy bleeding (menstrual) it’s been this way since January.
Well I’m no doctor but I do take human cellular biology in university so what I’m about to tell you probably means nothing but it’s worth a try. The cyst is swelling and the pain is caused by inflammation of the soft tissue surrounding the cyst, namely, the ovarian wall. What you need is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medicine. Try these in this order from weakest to strongest:
Don’t bother with brand names, get whatever has the drug in it that costs less because they’re all the same. To help with that, I’m going to post their generic names with brand names in parenthesis in case there is no generic in the USA. Take the maximum dose that the bottles allow and if there is an extra-strength version, get it.
1. ASA (Aspirin) – least expensive
2. Ibuprofen (Advil, Nuprin) – moderate
3. Naproxen Sodium (Alleve) – most expensive
If those three fail, ask your doctor if he/she will prescribe you Ketoprofen.
These drugs should reduce the swelling caused by inflammation as well as eradicating the pain. You might want to not take the ASA until your period is over because it is a natural blood-thinner and the last thing you want is to bleed more. Get them at Costco if you can because they have amazing prices on meds like that and I know for a fact that they have their own generic versions of both ASA and Ibuprofen that cost less than 1/3 what the brand-name crap costs and I can personally attest to their effectiveness (Especially the Ibuprofen) because I used them for both Mononucleosis and the pain I was in after all my wisdom teeth were extracted. (Apparently, there were complications)
This is an idea for a remedy, I have no clue about curing them. I don’t really know much about Ovarian Cysts (being male and all…lol) and being Canadian, I have no idea what surgery costs. I do know that you pay triple what I do for prescription medicine but I don’t know what you pay for off-the-shelf or over-the-counter medicine. As a result, I listed the drugs from cheapest to most expensive. Try them in that order and you’re guaranteed not to pay more than you need to. If I were you, I’d take a vacation to the UK. They’ve been known to treat non-Britons in need.

I have a kind of inflammation in my pelvic and I experienced a short sharp pain in the right side of my lower abdomen. The inflammation has been coming and going and I have been taken some antibiotics. I went to a laboratory test and pelvic scan and a retention cyst of diameter 1.5cm was found in the right adnexa (ovary) and I have been given antibiotic injection and some drugs but the problem persists. May be I have not received the right treatment.I need to be treated and got relieved. Does it have any negative implication on fertility?
Hold UP … First of all, antibiotics have nothing to do with treating an ovarian cyst. I was just diagnosed with an one and initially, there is NOTHING that they will do to treat it.
Based on the information that I found from researching, ovarian cysts are common in women (especially pre-menopausal) and the cyst usually takes care of itself by either absorbing back into the system or bursting (like a pimple).
Follicle retention cysts (the predominant ovarian cysts) are simple follicle retention cysts, small and frequently numerous cysts containing a clear fluid. A follicle is the localized area of the ovary in which the egg matures. When ovulation does not occur, the follicle may continue to grow, forming a cystic mass that rarely exceeds two or three inches in diameter. Usually, follicle cysts disappear without treatment within two months, and they do not become malignant growths.
Good luck! I know the pain is unbearable at times!!
